Maxwell Municipal Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Abilene, Texas.

Maxwell Municipal Golf Course first opened for play in 1979. The course was designed by Dave Bennett. Garrett Gill and George Williams have done redesigns on the course.

This course was designed with the average golfer in mind.  Hole #8, a 401-yard, par 4, features a severe dogleg fairway and most of the trouble is on the right.  There are water hazards coming into play on several holes.
